Abstract

The identification of stress in sport performance and its effect on obtaining results of value in semifond-fond athletic events were required and still require specific research conduct. The growth in the expression of affective-emotional states before a goal competition of athletes who specialize in long and medium length running events may be accompanied by real changes, in biological plans, of the specific parameters of reactions to stress. These changes may be viable guidelines in designing the plan to address further the future goal competitions. This research was based on the possibility of formulating the correlation between blood tests and profile of affective-emotional states of nine professional athletes, specializing in long and medium running events, the results revealed possible correlations between the biological and the psychological component.

Abstract

My interest for this problem coincided with a patient's request to do something for her. The patient presented a cervical osteoarthritis, with recurrences of cervicalgia, together with inflammatory symptoms: heat, edema, diminished functionality, tissue congestion, pain. After taking anti-inflammatory drugs that were not tolerated by her digestive system, and analgesics that were making her sleepy, the patient gave up her treatment, interrupted her sessions of classical massage, reeducation, physiotherapy, which increased her pain even more, and she got used to the idea that she will always live in pain. A new episode of cervicalgia determined her to ask for help somewhere else. This episode was treated only through lymphatic drainage massage, which really eased her pain, and allowed her to start again the physical therapy, this time with greater ease. Through the absorption and appeal maneuvers, the lymphatic drainage massage allowed the capture of liquids, reestablishing the tissue physiological balance, and contributed to the reconstruction of the damaged tissue, to reducing pain, and to giving back the freedom of movement in the joints, thus allowing a gradual re-adaptation of the cervical spine to movement. In conclusion, the lymphatic drainage massage can be applied as a conservatory, preparatory, and complementary treatment with the therapies that are usually used in the case of cervicalgia.

Abstract

Children should be educated so that they understand the phenomenon of independent practice of physical exercises and this action begins in physical education classes through the reproductive activities of an independent. Children are endowed with knowledge, skills and ways of achieving the activities independently, and developed an interest in it. Essential in the practice of physical activity during leisure and work effort is independent of thought, will and action. Physical exercise gives the child a sense of freedom, spontaneity and the need to escape from reality. We must not forget that exercise can be achieved by practicing certain sports performance, contributes to both physical development and harmonious as the body's physical expressiveness. Knowledge of the environment, obtaining satisfaction, desire to compete, to be faster, stronger, with a high aesthetic sense, the imposition of physical supremacy are some things that make us understand the importance of physical exercise in leisure practice. Studies undertaken by some researchers have demonstrated the existence of direct relations, cause-effect relationship between lack of exercise, cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. However, strong epidemiological data support the effects of exercise to prevent coronary artery disease and reducing mortality from all causes, when exercise is an integral part of operational activities and leisure. Commit to a regular program of physical activity involving large muscle groups, can result in improved physiological systems, and an individual who has a physical condition, has a great capacity to cope with demands of everyday life, on how long an individual who has no physical condition, activity will not last because of fatigue.

Abstract

In this article the authors wanted to emphasize the difficulties of implementation process of a new profession in Romania: occupational therapy. Even the need of this profession was identified in Romania since 2002, when the European Commission strongly recommended to the Ministry of Health and to Romanian authorities for disabled people to include it in the multidisciplinary team of health services, and 22 Centers for integration through Occupational Therapy (CITO) started the activities without specialists, the process of higher education grows slowly. The complex analyzes of the involved factors relive the fact that philosophy of occupational therapy is closed to approach of social assistance, medicine and psychology. The interest in specific concepts is often dimmed because of self-sufficient attitude of specialists, who considers the know-how already existent. The conclusions of the authors are that the education could be better accepted if the specialists became more open for the new information concerning the good practice in Europe for increasing the quality of life, meaning the real satisfaction of individuals trough independent life.

Abstract

One of the main objectives of this research was to assess the level of somatic development and physical training of the 8th grade pupils, in comparison with the national standards. The assessment consisted of practical drills applied at the beginning and at the end of the experiment. The measurement of the studied groups within the standard conditions shows the development of the main somatic and motor parameters in the 8th graders. The results of the control trials prove that the specific means that have been used contribute in a substantial way to the proposed target, but with an increased number of lessons in a normal work regime. The fundamental, technical-tactical handball components were introduced in the 8th grade physical education lesson in the presence of the other general and operational objectives marked in the curriculum. The use of means and methods which are specific to handball preparing games, in order to develop motor skills, lead to a positive evolution of these skills in all of the studied pupils, the results serving as evidence.

Abstract

In this paper we focus on improving the fitness for the overweight teenagers using specific programs and personal trainer. It is known that more than 60% of the adults don’t practice regular physical activities and 25% of them are completely sedentary. The unbalanced and excesive diet goes directly to overweighting and also to heart diseases, diabetes, some forms of cancer and indirectly to other problems, such as depression. We wish to check the hypotesis that fitness programs and physical activities using weights, in conjunction with a low calory diet can be used successfully on overweighted teenagers, optionally with a personal trainer. The study was conducted during the October, 2009 until April, 2010. The results confirm the efficiency of training programs proposed and, in special cases, the need for a personal trainer.
