Diabetes Mellitus is a universal disease with involvement in the growing world population, and cause of many complications that entail loss in quality of life and ability laborativa of people. The objective of this work was to raise social welfare data (management of Vitória da Conquista-BA), on the impact of customers and their diabetic complications in the generation of benefits and assistance in the period from 2003 to August 2007. Survey was conducted in the database management of the INSS Vitória da Conquista, Bahia. Data were collected from the Single Information System program of Benefits (SUIBE), available from internal computer network (Intranet). Aiming to restrict the cases to only those that would have been consedido benefit as a result of diabetes and its complications or, the search was given, as the International Classification of Diseases, tenth version (ICD-10), the Pan American Health Organization and World Organization Health (WHO). The results showed that the universe of searchable 50798 concerning the management of Vitoria da Conquista, only 334 were found benefits related to diabetes and its complications. In all the benefits studied a marked impact, regardless of sex, with varying degrees of disability generators of various types of benefits with age 40,07-56,00 years. Objective: To evaluate of fluoride release from Jeltrate alginate®. Materials and Methods: Four Trademarks of alginate were divided in four groups: conventional Jeltrate®, Plus Jeltrate®, Chromatic Jeltrate® and Chromatic Ortho Jeltrate®. The alginates were handled following the guidelines of the manufacturers. After this was followed by the construction of evidence bodies using silicone molds of the dimensions of 4 mm in diameter and 4mm in height. After take prey, the evidence bodies were removed from the molds and placed in container with 10 ml of ultra purified water, for 2 min. The fluoride release was measured by selective ion electrode connected to an analyzer of ions. Results: The Plus Jeltrate® showed a higher releasing fluoride 247.85 μg/cm2) followed by Chromatic Ortho Jeltrate® (217.83 μg/cm2), Chromatic Jeltrate ® (138.21 μg/cm2) and Jeltrate® (79.61 μg/cm2). Conclusion: Plus Jeltrate® had the best performance in releasing fluoride, followed by Chromatic Ortho Jeltrate®, Chromatic Jeltrate® and conventional Jeltrate®.

In clinical practice are restricted conditions that no-indicated definitively the breastfeeding. Therefore, this study addresses the objectives: know the sentiments expressed by women with HIV clinical failure to breastfeed; describe the importance of the mother and child contact in breastfeeding, as well as reporting the alternatives encountered by mothers to compensate for the deprivation of this practice. Therefore this research is characterized as descriptive exploratory qualitative in nature. Taking as a sample 10 women who had already passed the period of breast feeding at the breast, using the Reference Center for STD / AIDS in the municipality of Jequié / Ba. The instrument for data collection was the form, which was filled from the signing of the term of Free and Informed Consent built for this purpose. Data analysis was submitted to the technical analysis of the Content of Bardin, from which emerged the categories and subcategories: Feelings (sadness, helplessness, shame, despair, guilt); importance of breastfeeding (prevention of diseases and exchange of affection) and finally, strategy to compensate for the deprivation of breastfeeding (offering more care and attention).
