Thermal Characteristics Analysis of Magnetic Coupler in Wireless Charging System
Abstract
Themagneticcoupleristhecorepartoftheenergytransmissioninwirelesschargingsystem,inwhichthelossofcoilandmagneticcorecausestemperatureriseandthentheaccumulatedtemperatureriseaffectsthesecurityandreliabilityofthesystem.Inthispaper,asetofthermalfieldmodelingandcharacterizationmethodsformagneticcouplerisproposed.Firstly,theDD-typemagneticcouplerismodeledtocalculatetheheatloss.Secondly,theheattransfermodeisanalyzedandthethermalparametersrequiredformodelingarederived.Finally,themagneticcouplerofwirelesschargingsystemissimulatedbyIcepakinordertoobtainthetemperaturecharacteristicsofthemagneticcouplerunderdifferentheatdissipationconditions.Theresultsshowthatthemagnetic-thermalsimulationcanpredictthetemperatureofthemagneticcoupleratsteadystate.
