As known, the closer the area is to the equator, the higher the sunʼs radiation intensity. Areas in the equator potentially receive the highest sun radiation intensity, including the Riau archipelago. The indication can be seen from temperature and ultraviolet. The condition is amplified by high humidity because the area is surrounded by sea, obtaining a particular heat level that affects human activities. The weather indicators, such as the heat index derived from temperature and humidity and ultraviolet index, were observed on Mantang Island, one island in the Riau archipelago, from 6 September to 6 October 2023. The data was monitored using a portable weather station. The heat index data can indicate hot feels on the human body, whether at a low or dangerous level and sun radiation intensity.
