La résistance féministe et agroécologique au gouvernement de Jair Bolsonaro

Abstract

This article analyzes how the dismantling of public policies under the Bolsonaro government (Brazil) impacted the lives of rural women; presents local experiences of feminist and agroecological networks and movements that were building resistance strategies during that period; and analyzes how these movements organized themselves to confront the government and subsequently contribute to the reconstruction of the country. The cases of the Agroecological Network of Women Farmers and the Agroecology Seeds Network were presented, as well as the political strategies of the World March of Women, the Women’s Group of the National Articulation of Agroecology, and the March of Margaridas. The article concludes by showing that, beyond the process of resistance, these articulations were fundamental in reaffirming the centrality of rural women as political subjects in the reconstruction of the country, from a popular and feminist perspective.
