Abstract

Starting from the yellow vests uprising, our article aims to discuss the main philosophical and political analyses of the riots. Such an approach allows us to understand to what extent this form of action played a fundamental role within the movement, without making the Saturday “acts” its moment of truth. Against any stigmatization or fetishization of the riot, our approach based on the words of the yellow vests restores to this practice the crucial political importance that it has assumed for several decades and particularly since the onset of the 2008 crisis.
