The article highlights the structural-functional and others approaches, the use of which will allow to reveal different foreshortening and optics of the research of the national politics of memory. Through the example of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan, the key stages of the formation of the national politics of memory after the collapse of the USSR are considered, the tools and key features being highlighted. In conclusion is reached that the national politics of memory in the post-Soviet space (for example, the countriesreviewed) can be defined as a hybrid model that combines elements of the Soviet politics of memory and modern memory practices constructed using national historiography, symbolic and cultural politics.
