New official cartographic projection of Serbia

Abstract

A review of the elements of the mathematical base of our topographic maps is given. The Gauss-Kruger's conformal cylindric projection has been applied so far in Serbia and in the future the transversal Mercator's projection will be the official mapping of the state. The scales, methods of dividing and marking map sheets are given.
